Who owns the content on Lagepunkt.de?
All editorial content on Lagepunkt.de — including text, photographs, graphics, video, audio, and data visualisations — is owned or lawfully licensed by Lagepunkt Media Ltd., the Gibraltar-registered publisher (company number C 92009). Individual writers and contributors retain moral rights where applicable.
The publication’s name, logo, and tagline “Nachrichten, Analysen und Hintergründe für Deutschland” are protected trade marks. Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any content without prior written permission from the publisher is prohibited. If the material is found to infringe copyright or is otherwise unlawfully used, we will remove or disable access to it within a reasonable timeframe, typically five business days.
We will also notify the original uploader or author of the removal and, where appropriate, provide them with a copy of the takedown notice. The affected party may submit a counter-notification if they believe the removal was based on a mistake or misidentification. All counter-notifications are handled in accordance with applicable law and are reviewed by our fact‑checking team led by Lisa Schumacher. We act in good faith to balance the rights of all parties while adhering to our editorial policy.
What about image rights and fair use?
Lagepunkt.de uses images, illustrations, and screenshots only where we have explicit permission from the rights holder, a valid licence from a stock‑agency, or where the use falls within recognised fair‑use or fair‑dealing exceptions — for example, editorial commentary, criticism, news reporting, or education.
Wherever possible, we credit the source and include a link to the original work. If you believe an image on our site has been attributed incorrectly or is used beyond the scope of its licence, please contact our copyright agent at copyright@lagepunkt.de.
